I specialise in the treatment of tinnitus, misophonia, hyperacusis, dizziness, vestibular-migraine, Meniere's disease, insomnia, and lung diseases.
In my practice I offer therapy to adults. I am registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).
The primary treatment methods I use are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I also use techniques from other methods.
I have many years of experience working across the audio-vestibular and respiratory services at University College London Hospital (NHS).
This includes working in the Adult Clinical Psychology Department at the Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals, where I am the Head of Department. This psychology department is part of one of the largest UK centres for patients with audiovestibular diseases. I used to provide specialist psychological support for patients with respiratory diseases in the Department of Respiratory Medicine.
Before training as a Clinical Psychologist at Royal Holloway University of London, I enjoyed an academic career. I obtained an MSc in Health Psychology at University College London before being awarded a PhD from King’s College London for research on behaviour change and medical decision-making. After obtaining my PhD, I received a Behavioural Sciences Fellowship from Cancer Research UK and took up a Lectureship at King’s College London.
